A gem in Ottawa that produces spectacular French dishes!! We had our wedding anniversary dinner here and were amazed by the flavor and presentation of all dishes we ordered: from appertizer to dessert. Raiden, in particular, was super friendly and provided great service as our server. When he knew we were celebrating, he even went an extra mile and did something special for us. Strongly recommend this restaurant!!

We went for breakfast a few weeks ago and it was incredible! No complaints about the food or experience at all. The salad was packed with ingredients and a perfect addition to the breakfast. The crab cake was crispy and delicious. Bacon Benedict served on a herbed scone was unique and delicious! We loved that you could book a reservation even on the weekend for breakfast/brunch. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant!! You will not be disappointed.

Ratatouille Bistro was very close to our hotel in Byward Market and I liked the menu & reviews when I looked it up therefore we headed here for breakfast. Very cute interiors and quiet atmosphere. Cappuccino was very good as were the wild mushroom and goat cheese omelette and Shakshuka. Highly recommended if you’re in Ottawa.

Wow! What a great experience! I went there for brunch with a friend this morning. Excellent service and delicious food! I highly recommend Ratatouille Bistro! Many flavourful brunch options and you shouldn’t definitely give a try to the virgin pineapple mojito!

Our server didn’t just bring menus; they delivered a syllabus. Every dish, ingredient, and preparation method was explained with such precision and enthusiasm that we felt like students in the best kind of class—one where the final exam is a plate of duck confit. Speaking of the food: the lamb shank was a slow-braised marvel—fall-off-the-bone tender, rich with deep, earthy flavor, and served over a silky bed of root vegetable puree. The duck was equally sublime, boasting a perfectly crisped skin and succulent interior, paired with a subtle cherry reduction that balanced sweet and savory like a well-rehearsed duet. Each course was not only delicious but deeply appreciated, thanks to our server’s detailed storytelling that elevated every bite with context and care. This place has the best brunch hands down. Large portions, lots of variety, even the coffee is amazing. The salad that comes with mains at brunch is so good and loaded. Service is great and quick, we were in and out on a Saturday in less than an hour. My favourite is the crab cake eggs benny.

I spend Valentine’s Day at Ratatouille Bistro and I was blown away!! From the attention to detail, Prosecco and chocolate strawberries when sitting down, the rose given when paying the bill was beyond what any restaurant would do!! The food was amazing everything we ordered was wonderful but what made this place even more special was how kind and attentive the staff was!! I highly recommend Ratatouille Bistro and I can’t wait to be back.
